Living From The Inside Out
Bearing the Holy

From the prayers of the Desert Fathers:

Just sit there.
Sit here right now.
Rest.

For our separation from God
Is the hardest
Work of all.

We work hard at being separate from God. We don.t mean to but it is the way of the world, the way of living life in the realm of earthly things. This practice of the presence of God, this discipline of worship with others every week and every day in our homes, is meant to be a spiritual alignment, to keep us aligned with the integrating principle at work in the universe, that principle which is ultimately stronger than our desire to be fragmented. So let God do God.s work in you and around you and through you.

Just sit there.
Sit here right now.
Rest.

For our separation from God
Is the hardest
Work of all.
